Summary
The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for the position of Associate Director of Marketing and Communication for the College of Arts and Sciences.The Associate Director is responsible for direction of the college’s digital marketing ecosystem. This role assists the Director in in developing and administering the college’s digital marketing and content strategy to support recruitment, alumni and community engagement, and fundraising. The Associate Director will work with the Director to set digital content design and production standards and will lead assigned projects for digital marketing communications.
Responsibilities
* Works with the Director of Marketing and Communication to prioritize initiatives and strategies * Supervises, trains and evaluates graduate assistants and student employees in the marketing and communication department * Closely monitors interactive marketing and communications trends and best practices in higher education and other industries * Collaborates on budgets and planning * Serves as project manager on all assigned projects, working with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure deadlines and project goals are met * Works with university Creative Services to secure digital image, video and interactive materials required for college marketing initiatives
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of digital marketing communications experience * Experience in developing and executing strategic plans, communication plans, quality controls, feedback mechanisms and project schedules * Demonstrated understanding of paid search and paid social media, ideally in the higher education space * Demonstrated understanding of branding and identity development * Evidence of success in project management for complex projects, with a demonstrated ability to initiate and implement projects while working to deadlines and in a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously * Evidence of ability to work at the strategic level (generating and executing innovative ideas) and the tactical level (organizing meetings, analyzing data, solving administrative problems) * Proven record in producing usable reports on web analytics (including Google Analytics and Google AdWords), direct marketing, feedback surveys, social media metrics and marketing dashboards * Ability to interpret analytics results, assess campaign effectiveness and adapt campaigns to achieve goals * Experience managing content within Content Management Systems * Experience utilizing social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite Pro, Sprout Social) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to match message delivery to audience needs * Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team * Flexibility and adaptability when priorities change **Preferred Qualifications** * Master’s degree in Marketing or a related field * Five (5) years of marketing and communications experience * Knowledge of digital strategy as well as brand and marketing strategy and how they impact institutional outcomes * Experience with oversight of photography and video production * Professional experience working with WordPress CMS * Strong knowledge of graphic design, web information architecture, and usability principles * Certified in Web analytics, social media analytics, and/or content marketing
