Director of Web Operations

- Responsible for planning, execution and oversight of the university's primary content management system (CMS) and supporting assets - social media, data feeds, etc. - Coordinates management of university-wide web initiatives including mobile apps, campus-wide directories, maps, calendars, and other web-based communications tools across various internal and external customers. - Manages daily operations and administration of the functions of UAB Web Communications, which includes supervising staff, managing project schedules, and overseeing the development and content of various university websites. - Manages projects for UAB's external and internal web presence, online electronic media and communications. Collaborates with the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and vendors to carry out these initiatives. - Has overall responsibility and accountability for the content, design, development and maintenance of the standard UAB web site template. - Maintains university brand standards and messaging across UAB's primary CMS and oversees database compliance. - Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Web Design, Graphic Design or a related field and ten (10) years of related experience required. - Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. - Individuals should be highly creative with a strong background in graphic and/or web design. Additionally, possesses a vast working knowledge of web technologies, including, but not limited to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
