Summary
As a Software Development Engineer in Test on the Spotlight Team you will work closely with top game developers to really push the boundaries of what is possible in Unity. You will help Unity spotlight programmers to reach the desired level of functionality, stability, and usability of Unity as a primary tool. You will work with many different teams so you should enjoy meeting new people. This is a great opportunity to contribute to big AAA projects without being tied to the 2-3 year development cycles that that typically involves. The ideal candidate will be an experienced software development engineer working who is naturally inquisitive and have a strong motivation to explore the technical boundaries. You should be comfortable implementing tests in both C++ and C#
Responsibilities
* The overall goal is to provide feedback about the State of The Product in order to support development and inform development decisions * Provide feedback on the usability of new features * Work closely with developers to provide early feedback to new features and functionality * Develop and maintain the test approach for your designated areas of the product * Work with customers to reproduce their bug reports in-house * Communicate with users on our community forum, providing assistance and advice * Collaborate with other testers and developers in an agile environment * Contribute to the continued professional growth of the team
Ideal Candidate
* Strong testing experience and a working knowledge of test automation * At least 5 years of experience as a dedicated SDET and a proven record of shipping large, complex software projects * Strong experience with C++ language, familiar with C# * Prior experience in game development ideally in Unity * Strong motivation, high level of commitment, proactive and positive attitude * Great debugging, problem solving skills and detail-oriented approach * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
