Windows Server Administrator (Optum Technology) - Plymouth

As a Windows Server Administrator, you would work with a variety of individuals that may include business users, internal and external customers, application developers, QA, project leaders and others with a primary focus on large-scale systems, applications, databases and reports leveraging multiple tools, processes, and technologies. The Server Administrator will provide operational support and guidance to the company's internal clients. This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of daily server management tasks as well as providing recommendations for effective and efficient management of server systems.

* Responsible for providing technical support of servers and various software applications including but not limited to Windows and VMware in a team environment * Performs necessary server infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices * Expertise in hardening, testing and monitoring systems against possible security threats, with exposure to security standards * Deployment of operating system security and software updates * Conducting vulnerability assessments on Windows and VMware technologies and implementations of remediation solutions utilizing both automated tools and manual techniques * Researching and analyzing known system exploits, and vulnerabilities to support development and execute vulnerability remediation * Provide on-call and after-hours support as a part of team * Handling server administration functions across the nation and abroad * This position requires a high level of independent thinking and the ability to solve problems in a stressful environment * Document critical processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality * Highly organized, possess a meticulous attention to detail and comfortable working within strict operational boundaries and procedures * Assist in developing procedures and processes to ensure that Audit and Regulatory requirements are met * Excellent communication and multitasking skills, highly organized, ability to complete high level projects with little supervision *Handling server administration functions across the nation and abroad * This position requires a high level of independent thinking and the ability to solve problems in a stressful environment * Document critical processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality

* Experience with VMware and ESX Server Support * VMWare vRealize suite experience. * HP Server Automation experience * HP Operations Orchestration experience * Chef Configuration Management experience * Strong ability to organize tasks and determine priorities * 5+ years of Windows Server Administration / Troubleshooting experience * 3+ years of experience with Software Deployments and scripting experience * Demonstrable understanding of system security practices
