Senior Applications Developer

• Identify, analyze and resolve routine and complex system issues for current production applications
• Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability
• Participate in 24x7 on call support
• Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs
• Ensure that the work delivered by the team is of high quality
• Work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution
• Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
• Work on break-fixes for production issues and implement the same
• Assist in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Assist as a liaison between offshore resources and business/ onsite IT management
• Identify application performance improvement initiatives and implement the same in consultation with Service Manager
• Work on process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/ GED with 6+ years of equivalent work experience in the IT field
• 4+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, TSO
• 4+ years of experience with CICS
• 4+ years of experience with VSAM
• 4+ years of experience with DB2
• 3+ years of Relational Database experience
• 2+ years of with MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements:

• Healthcare experience
• Knowledge of Java, TWS, DataStage
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude
• Exposure to complex, cross-departmental projects involving multiple platforms
