Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operational management for assigned Epidemiology projects * Evaluate study progress, identify problems, recommend solutions, escalate as appropriate, and implement improvements * Ensure project adheres to planned timelines and is progressing according to project goals * Collaborate and communicate with internal project team, client, and third parties (e.g., vendors, consultants, data partners) * Initiate and facilitate contracting activities with client, third party vendors and consultants while interfacing with Legal and Business Development * Develop detailed project plan for each study based on contractual milestones, incorporate feedback from the project team, track and maintain study timelines and communicate status and changes internally and with client * Utilize project metrics and provide project milestone and financial updates to senior management * In conjunction with senior scientists/epidemiologists, responsible for implementation and compliance with key contract provisions while informing senior management and client of out of scope activities * Plan, manage, and lead team meetings, develop and distribute agenda, ensure meeting minutes are captured, posted and circulated to attendees * Conduct monthly recognition of accrued revenue, track project budget and ensure agreed spend is not exceeded and sponsor expectations are met * Ensure project invoices are correct and completed in a timely fashion * Ensure compliance with SOPs, study-specific trainings, guidance documents, and ensure proper archival of appropriate study documents * Participate in the operational development of proposals and budgets for new opportunities and amendments to existing work
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * 5+ years of non-IT operational experience in life sciences research industry * 1+ years of non-IT project management experience in a life sciences research setting * Client negotiation experience with respect to proposals, contracting, budget, and timelines * Proactive problem solver and critical thinker with excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects * Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to communicate diplomatically with colleagues and clients from various functional areas * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Power Point)
