Product Manager of Bariatric Resource Service

This Product Consultant role will be responsible for management of the Bariatric Resource Services (BRS) product within Optum’s Network Solutions business suite. You will drive both day-to-day management of the product as well as develop the strategy and vision for product roadmaps, establish collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders, gather accurate requirements and evaluate opportunities for future product enhancements, innovation, and growth.

* Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teams in a complex matrix environment to drive goals, projects, and initiatives that require structured problem solving and relationship building to support the management and growth of the Bariatric Resource Services (BRS) product * Serve as a key BRS product resource for sales and account management, market/sales strategies, product specifications / processes, customer value proposition, and others * Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements; anticipate future needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them including non-standard requests and issues * Leverage research, industry knowledge, and data to identify opportunities for product development and deployment projects that result in market-ready solutions and capabilities * Influence and drive BRS product innovation across teams to ensure alignment and cohesive progress across multiple areas including operations, technology solutions, marketing, sales, account management, and other product teams

**Demonstrated Skills:** * Own output at task level or are comfortable delegating ownership of tasks to the appropriate parties across the matrix with appropriate guidance Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, meet deadlines, and work with minimal guidance and a sense of urgency * Identify and / or resolve operational problems using defined or undefined processes, expertise and judgment; recommend and drive continuous improvement * Think strategically to translate a vision of customer experience to processes and requirements **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience * 4+ years of Product Management / Product Development experience * 3+ years of project and / or operations management experience * Proficiency with MS Office applications (min. of 3 years experience) * Demonstrated ability to structure and solve problems and achieve goals in a matrix environment amid change, ambiguity, and complexity * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others * Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and externally (clients, consultants, brokers, strategic partners) **Preferred Qualifications:** * Healthcare industry experience * Live within a commutable distance to Eden Prairie, MN * Passion for helping patients and the health system address one of the most urgent healthcare issues facing America today: obesity * Inspired to identify and evaluate innovative obesity and weight loss solutions as potential extensions of core product and in partnership internally within Optum/UnitedHealthcare and externally with start-ups, health systems, and innovative healthcare service providers
