We are currently seeking an experienced an IT Business - Data Analyst. This leader is charged to develop Data Warehousing and Reporting capabilities for the company. The position will directly support the development and maintenance of reporting applications and or ad-hoc data requests for UHC Businesses in alignment with Enterprise Data Strategy. This position reports to the Manager of Data warehousing and reporting. Join our specialized IT team of problem solvers and doers. Positions in this function use advanced statistical and inferential analysis programs to provide specialized data analysis. Organizes, sorts and filters data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends. Develops and maintains data preparation and validation routines to support data mining and has experience in creating complex data mining algorithms. Selects, recommends and applies appropriate analytic and statistical methodologies and techniques to execute against an analysis plan or research objectives. Evaluates new analytics tools and methodologies for possible deployment. creates data warehouses/marts and/or develops data mining analyses to support business decisions.

* Gather and analyze business requirements * Architect/Design Data Warehouse infrastructure and solutions * Develop technical specifications and design documents * Develop, enhance, integrate Data Warehouses/Data Marts and Business Intelligence Solutions * Test Data Warehouses/Data Marts * Deploy and Maintain Data Warehouses/Data Marts * Build constructive partnerships with business leadership to proactively recommend solutions to business issues through practical, elegant, and effective business intelligence and reporting vehicles. * Direct deployment of enterprise data strategy vision through successful program delivery * Collaborate with global and contractor leaders to develop partnerships that allow for capacity flexibility and offer equivalent and or superior quality delivery capability * Effectively manages a balanced scorecard metric set that would include key measures such as quality & timely delivery. * Incorporate best practices and standards in metadata and report/dashboard development * Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

* Experience with other Business Intelligence Tools like Cognos, SAS or TOAD * Experience in a large, enterprise environment * Teradata experience * Experience using ETL tools * Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of equivalent Business Data * Analyst/Reporting experience * 3+ years of Business Analysis experience * 3+ years of experience with relational databases * 3+ years of experience working with SQL * 3+ years of experience working on Data Warehousing projects * 3+ years of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience * 3+ years of data analysis (profiling) and source-to-target mapping of healthcare clinical and/or administrative data domains * 3+ years of Healthcare experience
