General Manager, Medicare And Retirement

The General Manager, Medicare and Retirement will manage four functions that drive performance of our North Central Florida Health plan. The primary responsibility is managing The Villages Health (TVH) relationship in Market Manager capacity (TVH is a strategically important business partner key to FL).

• Interact with clinical, marketing, and product strategy groups internally in bringing new products to the market
• Prepare reports and conduct scenario planning around business requirements
• Track metrics to insure compliance with STARS programs
• Obtain or maintain Medicare Sales license
• Will require some travel in the North Central Florida area

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 8 years of Insurance or Managed Care experience
• 5 years of Project Management experience
• Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• STARS Programming and Marketing experience
• Minimal travel in the state of Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12 years of industry experience in Managed Care
• 5 years of Medicare experience is strong
• 50% or more travel within The Villages area and throughout North Central FL
• Leadership experience in presenting and communicating with senior leadership
• Map Point experience
• Strong, solid understanding of how a health plan operates and the structural integration of Product, Network, Distribution and Clinical
