Summary

Uline seeks a Control Technician at its Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of equipment that typically utilizes PLC or microprocessor control systems.
  • Direct contractors and Uline personnel and/or personally complete all aspects of installation, maintenance and teardown of both automated and non-automated equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to ensure assets remain in excellent working condition.
  • Coordinate services with vendors and Uline personnel, which may include occasional afterhours and weekend support.
  • Coordinate and/or perform technical maintenance and service on equipment, automated systems and facilities.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and resolve all issues throughout the life of the equipment.
  • Plan and conduct tests on automated equipment as required to upgrade capabilities.
  • Implement hardware and software upgrades on automated equipment and control systems.
  • Design and/or attain documentation for all required duties. Distribute documentation accordingly.
Ideal Candidate
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in electrical controls or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, installation and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
  • 2+ years experience in industrial controls with a focus on design implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and utilize electrical and control diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience installing and repairing electrical, mechanical and control components.
  • Available for travel to Uline's domestic and international branches.
