Responsibilities
* The Lead Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance will provide monthly analysis for board of directors reporting and internal management and will provide support and analysis for regulatory filings, regulatory accounting, financial modeling and business cases, as needed. * The position will provide end user and power user customer support for the budget system and recommend and implement enhancements and improvements required to adapt to changing conditions or better utilize existing technologies. * This position will participate in the development and implementation of process improvements designed to maximize the Company's rate case readiness and will demonstrate the ability to explain difficult concepts in a manner that makes it easier for others to understand. * The position will work collaboratively with others assuming informal and formal leadership roles as needed in order to influence others and build consensus and will obtain in-depth working knowledge of the company’s financial data and knowledge of the business. * The position will manage projects or teams, including coordination of resources outside of own area and will lead others to resolve complex problems in nonstandard situations. * This position will also be responsible for ad hoc budget and analytic assignments including special projects, as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* The Lead Analyst, Corporate Finance requires a Bachelor's degree in a related analytic discipline including but not limited to Accounting, Finance or Economics and 7 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience performing financial analysis or financial budgeting along with strong technical, analytical, organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required. * Advanced degrees and financial professional certifications desired but not required and may be used to complement years of work experience. * Utility experience, understanding of utility financials, advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP and TM1 financial systems are also preferred. * Additional experience with financial forecasting models and project management experience is a plus. * Ideal candidates will have strong analytic and critical thinking skills with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, be able to think holistically and strategically, be a strong communicator (verbal and written) and be progressive in their career path with the ability to advance and lead without formal authority. * This position may be filled either higher or lower in the sequence based upon the candidate’s education and experience.
