Assistant Paralegal II for Employment

• Support Uber’s employment department, in-house counsel, and employment paralegals
• Assist legal team with research related to incoming lawsuits and other pre-litigation matters
• Prepare memoranda and summaries of factual research
• Maintain confidential files and record keeping systems; process documents; maintain and update litigation files
• Calendar/docket response dates
• Assist team with document review and production
• Daily opportunities to help us resolve issues central to our business

• 2-4 years of litigation experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
• Ability to conduct in-depth research spanning multiple online and internal sources. You’re a database and internet search guru. You gut-check your results and refine your searches
• Experience preparing for or participating in trial or arbitration preferred
• A./B.S. or paralegal certificate. ENG/Hard Science background preferred
• Technical Savvy.
• Excellent communication skills across the board
• Desire to be a utility player. You're willing to help out wherever needed.
• Obsession with details. The Devil's in them, after all. You are slightly obsessive-compulsive about grinding away on (and solving) problems.
• Self-Motivation—you have hustle, superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through. You’re not easily overwhelmed.
