Responsibilities
- Create, develop and manage content for organization’s web presence (requires working with content management software and a marketing automation tool) - Maintain a consistent look, feel and voice throughout all web properties; currently includes usgbc.org, gbci.org, leed.usgbc.org, peer.usgbc.org, centerforgreenschools.org, greenapple.org, studio.usgbc.org, greenhomeguide.com, sustainablesites.org, and wellcertified.com - Copy edit and proofread all web content - Manage web content requests across departments - Ensure that search engine optimization best practices are followed - Track and report on all site metrics - Keep current with emerging web technologies and explore new developments in the digital landscape to find ways to more effectively deliver communication and business objectives - Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors
Ideal Candidate
- Exceptional communication and writing skills - Experience managing content and production for high traffic websites - Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems (Drupal) and marketing automation tools (Marketo) - Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Basic Adobe Photoshop skills - Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team - Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field - Commitment to USGBC mission
