Summary
Working closely with our sales team, brand and direct response advertisers, product managers, and in collaboration with the sales strategy team, the Ad Sales Research Analyst will help to develop and execute research commitments that prove the value of Twitter to clients and the marketing community at large.
Responsibilities
* Independently project manage and execute advertiser research commitments such as brand lift studies, conversation analysis, sales impact and other custom studies with multiple research vendors. * Produce insights for advertising partners leveraging multiple streams of data sources such as conversations and behaviors on the Twitter platform, survey and 3rd party data (eg., Comscore). Leverage Twitter data using SQL, Vertica, Hadoop etc. to enrich other sources of data. * Working in a multi-functional setting with product managers and revenue engineers, contribute to requirements gathering, design, and development of new advertising research products. * Help aggregate, synthesize, analyze, and package findings and norms uncovered through research platforms at Twitter for sharing with advertising partners. * Work with industry vertical marketing managers to package key client success stories into case studies for pre-sale conversations based on the research capabilities available. * Understand relationship between the repertoire of Twitters advertising measurement solutions and how different research products can best predict key client objectives.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS, MA/MS/MBA degree preferred: 4+ yrs experience in quantitative advertising research, market research, or product management. * Knowledge and point-of-view about digital media research/measurement and methodological considerations. * Familiarity with statistical packages (SPSS, R, etc) and data query languages/tools (SQL, Vertica etc). * Knowledge of conversation analysis techniques and platforms such as Crimson Hexagon, Converseon, Sysomos etc. * Familiarity with inferential statistical techniques (significance-testing, regression analysis, ANOVA, etc). * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to build internal networks to accomplish goals through collaboration with resources across teams. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically about a particular industry and/or product set. * Ability to sift through large quantities of data to tell meaningful stories. * Organized, responsible, with a focus on adhering to project timelines. * A self-starter who takes initiative and is action oriented. * Is driven and solution-oriented and can overcome obstacles to drive projects through completion.
