Summary
Twitch is seeking a Senior Content Accountant to join our growing finance team! This is a great opportunity to transform and redefine the perception of what live streaming is and how it can be enjoyed through Twitch's platform. We are seeking an individual to support the global content accounting operations team. Your contributions will help impact the business processes, results, and overall efficiency of both the finance and operations team. We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in content and contract license accounting and is flexible, eager, and willing to take on challenges.
Responsibilities
* Support the content month-end close procedures and ensure timely and accurate issuance of financial statements * Prepare and maintain content accounting payments and journal entries with supporting documentation * Handle content accounting reconciliations * Prepare monthly accruals, deferrals, amortization journals, and analytics for content accounting related accounts * Share best practices with the content team to help scale our business to support global expansion plans * Review content license contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment of content license agreements * Prepare contract summaries to be reviewed by the Content Accounting Manager * Collaborate with the Partnerships team on current and new content license agreements * Assist with tax-related matters pertaining to content license payments * Be a team player and be willing to take on ad-hoc requests
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements** * Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in accounting from an accredited college or university * 5+ years of accounting experience within media and entertainment industries and/or big four public accounting firms * Exceptional analytical and strong Excel skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization * Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency, with exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize **Bonus Points** * CPA in progress or active CPA license highly preferred * Experience with Netsuite
