Product Engineer of Chat and Messaging

Product engineers at Twitch work closely with designers, backend engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other functions to build high quality experiences for the community.

The kind of person we’re looking for… You have opinions about the user experience and contribute to the design of the solutions we ultimately build. You feel responsible for the quality of the features you ship. You push code to production several times a day if necessary. You have demonstrated past experience working on user interfaces and an eye for detail leading you to obsess over the little things in a product. **About You:** * You have experience working on the web front-end; you are proficient with HTML5, CSS (or something like SASS), JavaScript, and JS frameworks. However, specific technologies don't matter nearly as much as having a breadth of experience and an eye for great product. * You have strong CS fundamentals and value rigor in engineering. * You have a knack for communicating with a diverse set of stakeholders across engineering, design, product, and other groups within the company. * You are equally excited to build a minimum viable product quickly as you are cementing a proven feature in maintainable and tested code. * You have good product sense and an eagerness to work on a diverse set of engineering challenges. * You thrive in loosely structured environments. * You are intellectually curious, passionate, inventive, and eager to grow. * You focus on quality, sweat the details, and delight our users.
