Director of Quality Assurance

We connect gamers from around the world by allowing them to broadcast, watch, and chat with each other. Twitch’s live and on-demand video platform forms the backbone of a distribution network for video game broadcasters including pro players, tournaments, leagues, developers and gaming media organizations.

Twitch is seeking an experienced QA leader to drive the Twitch QA program and ensure the quality of our suite of products and services. The program is comprised of internal QA teams, external outsourcing, and testing automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in all of these aspects of QA, and the ability to grow and direct each of them towards success. As the Director of QA, you'll be responsible for establishing a consistent testing methodology for all products we release and leading best practices across our many product development teams.

* Manage Twitch’s central QA org that includes testing automation, outsourcing, and internal QA teams. * Set the technical vision for test frameworks and automation for Twitch services and systems. * Establish team metrics for the measurement of quality and operational excellence using a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements. * Establish a consistent project management framework that allows QA to integrate well with program management, dev teams, and their processes. * Show strong business and technical judgment that will accelerate time to market of releases. * Advocate for QA resources and initiatives by demonstrating the value of QA to different audiences.

* 5+ years experience managing QA. * Experience in the development/testing of high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems. * Experience with employee development, performance management and delivering results. * Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverables. * Presentation and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across a variety of groups throughout Twitch.
