Summary
The Publisher and Developer (PubDev) team is the conduit for all publisher and developer interactions with Twitch. The team represents Twitch in the market to ensure game companies are aware of and understand the various opportunities to work with Twitch. This team also evangelizes on behalf of game companies within Twitch, ensuring all departments internally are aware of what game companies would like to see from Twitch. As part of the PubDev BD team, you will manage relationships with game companies, coordinate projects across internal teams and evaluate and execute agreements on behalf of Twitch. You will also work closely with the PubDev Relations (Account Management) team. This role’s primary responsibility will be to support Twitch’s APAC initiatives and will work closely with our APAC Partnerships team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in evaluating and framing opportunities, defining value and goals, understanding long term strategies, negotiating agreements, and managing high level relationships. The candidate should also have experience working cross-functionally across teams e.g. Product, Marketing, Legal, BizOps and Executive Teams.
Responsibilities
* Proactively identify, prioritize and execute against opportunities with the PubDev team * Understand project objectives, formulate actionable strategies and recommendations, and communicate effectively to relevant stakeholders * Lead deal investigations, define value, and negotiate and execute contracts; will interface closely with Legal, Marketing and Product teams to ensure successful execution and long-term success of partnerships * Identify early market trends and synthesize observations into actionable plans for Twitch * Maintain sharp games industry expertise by staying up-to-date with industry trends
Ideal Candidate
* +5-7 years of business development, legal, corp dev, operations and/or production experience at a game company. Finance, banking or consulting experience servicing gaming and/or media clients should apply as well * Language: Business fluent, written and spoken, Korean and English; Japanese a plus * 6-12 month commitment to begin work from SF with travel to/from APAC * Passion for gaming as well as the business of gaming and media * Strong knowledge of Twitch * Experience working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external * Existing professional relationships with APAC game publishers and developers * Experience with P&Ls and business models * Strong verbal, written and presentation skills * Basic software skills: CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote or similar programs
