Senior Software Engineering -Scala

As a Software Engineer you will be working on creating tooling and automation for Carrier and Product Operations teams. You will be working together with the team to drive architecture, coding standards and technology choices.

* Own your production infrastructure end-to-end. You’ll deploy your own code multiple times a week. * Develop and maintain the backbone of our automation and tooling framework to support operations across Twilio. * Work directly with the team and product management to build new customer facing features. At Twilio, product roadmaps are a team sport. * Lead by example by writing quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment.

* 3+ years in industry as a developer working with mission critical systems. * 3+ years of experience with Scala, Java or C#. * Able to decide between benefits of monolithic and heavily service oriented architecture and explain the decision. * Experience with mentoring junior engineers and enjoying it. * Hands on. Passionate. Persistent. Creative. **Bonus points:** * You have worked with high volume systems. * You have experience with data analytics and automation. * You have an understanding and working knowledge of Agile or SCRUM. * You have spent 4 hours figuring out what 4 characters are causing a bug and kind of liked it.
