- Lead a small, empowered team. Move fast - coordinate ships to production multiple times in 2 week sprints.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively across internal engineering teams.
- Build new services from scratch: from designing the architecture to deployment and operation.
- Work with product management to deliver industry best developer-facing tools and services.
- Ship client software across the major platforms (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux) and popular development environments (Xcode, Visual Studio, command line).
- 5+ Years Technical Leadership - proven ability to lead a small team of developers in an Agile environment and collaborate with fellow Tech Leads and Architects to influence their roadmaps.
- Diversity of technical experiences - exposure to a wide array of development environments, software stacks and engineering roles. Experience with both client-side and server-side development is a must.
- Empathy for developers - a desire to serve developers first. You love to talk to developers and build tools that empower them.
- Service Oriented Architecture - experience building and operating micro services that adhere to strict SLAs. Twilio operates a complex global platform that is composed of discrete front end, middleware, and backend services.
- Java, Scala or Python - the supported languages for Twilio services.
- Agile - time spent working on closely-knit teams using Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
