Summary
Turner's, 'Broadcast Engineering and Systems Technology' (BEST) team is seeking a senior systems engineer to provide system administration and support for media asset management (MAM) systems used in post production facilities.
Responsibilities
* Deploy, configure and support Media Asset Management (MAM) systems * Collaborate with MAM users, and Turner technical teams, to develop, and execute, MAM project plans * Migrate content and workflows from existing MAM systems to new systems * Create documentation, and deliver training, to enable tier 1 & tier 2 support teams * Utilize your expertise, to provide input, on standards and future directions, for the MAM and its associated media workflows * Troubleshoot and resolve issues on MAM and interconnected systems * Provide advanced technical support for issues escalated from tier 2 support teams * Ensure systems and content are protected in compliance with the organization's security standards * Utilize deployment and configuration management tools to ensure consistent deployment * Support on premise, Software as a Service (SaaS), and cloud based infrastructure and systems * Perform functional testing, and support, of MAM related plugins and panels * Create scripts to perform system administration tasks including monitoring, configuration management, benchmarking and troubleshooting * This position requires a Monday thru Friday, normal business hours work schedule, with on call responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrated expert knowledge of Windows, Linux and Mac system administration * Demonstrated expert knowledge of MAM systems, media content, media workflows and metadata * 5 years' experience working with media systems and workflows * 5 years' experience supporting Windows, Linux and Mac systems. * Experience with MAM systems including: IPV Curator, FlavorSys Strawberry, SquareBox CatDV * Demonstrated proficiency in automation, using shell script, powershell and python * Experience using automated, deployment and configuration management tools * Experience with cloud technologies including AWS * Experience performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis * Creative and effective problem solving skills * Experience with high availability systems and disaster recovery * Detailed oriented, with good organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes: informational, technical, and operational communications - Should be effective in a fast paced environment * Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of your time * This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. * An associate's degree with extensive in-field experience will be considered.
