Summary
Tripwire is growing. We have an opening for a Software Engineer who can provide UI technical leadership across the engineering organization. This position requires drive, coding ability, and technical depth. The software engineer will work with other developers, QA engineers and UX engineers as part of an Agile team that builds applications and services for Tripwire products. This position will have the opportunity to work with front-end, back-end, and database code as well as cross team integrations.
Responsibilities
**Your job duties will consist of:** * Designing, planning, and implementing UI features * Building common applications and services for use in multiple products * Innovating * Creating test automation * Establishing UI architectural guidelines and mechanisms for use across Engineering **To accomplish this, you will need to:** * Work in an organization with mature practices * Mentor other engineers and play a leading role in driving the development path of the product * Be self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment * Advocate for process improvement * Courageously refactor * Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audience * Be a creative problem-solver
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:** * BA/BS CS, EE, IT or equivalent industry experience * UI design and development * Javascript * Modern browser UI frameworks like React, Angular etc * Automation frameworks * Knowledge of SQL * Build, source control, and deployment tools **Additional considerations:** * Typeless languages like python, ruby, and clojure * Experience in Java * Knowledge and experience in the field of security * Secure software development * Knowledge and configuration of a broad range of operating systems Successful candidates will demonstrate clear thought processes, communicate well, and demonstrate significant technical ability Contribute to testing, documenting, supporting build systems, interacting with stakeholders, etc. as needed Must have the legal and ongoing right to work in the USA without sponsorship **Minimum Experience** * Typically requires 8+ years of experience. * Typically a university degree is required, or a combination of education and experience.
