Technical Writing Internship Summer 2016

TRIOSE has an opening for a Technical Writer intern for Summer 2016. This position will allow you to create a technical manual for TRIOSE’s brand new billing system. The project will involve working with technical subject matter experts to collect and format technical information and specifications, develop and write procedures and instruction manuals. You will have the opportunity to work closely with TRIOSE Business Development and Training as well as TRIOSE Billing personnel in the creation of various technical documents. By the end of the summer, you will have completed a user operating and instruction manual!

* Design, write, layout and edit training manuals & procedures using a variety of desktop computer software tools.

* We’re looking for an intern with BS/BA college work in Technical Communications, Technical Education or a similar field of study. * Excellent writing & editing skills are required. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 is required and knowledge of flowcharting software such as Smart Draw or Visio is preferred. * Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines. * Experience working collaboratively with a diverse team is a plus. * Must show initiative and work with minimal supervision. * Experience or general knowledge of electrical, general mechanics and hydraulic systems desired but not required. * Experience or educational work in technical writing preferred as well.
