HL7 Interface Programmer

Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics includes six hospitals as well as, Trinity Clinic, the largest multispecialty medical group in East Texas.

This position designs, implements, and maintains new and existing integration processes between various hospital information systems. The Integration Specialist coordinates interface specification development between software vendors, hospital departments, and other application teams within IT.

• Maintaining a working knowledge of integrated applications and associated user procedures in order to facilitate testing and trouble-shooting activities.
• Ensuring that HL7 standards are followed at all times.
• Monitoring the status of all interfaces to ensure timely flow of data to the respective systems.
• Reviewing interfaced system requirements with users and translate requirements to specific functions.
• Performing diagnosis of probable cause of system failure.

• Cloverleaf level II certification
• Associates Degree or more that 60 college credits.
• 3 years Cloverleaf and 5 years healthcare experience.
• A working knowledge of AIX is strongly desired
• Must be computer literate
• Great communication skills
