Established in 1938 as the National Arborist Association, today's Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) is a trade association of more than 2,200 commercial tree care firms and affiliated companies.
Summary
TCIA is searching for a webmaster who will be an integral part of the association for implementation of our strategic goals as well as improvement and refinement of our websites. This is a full-time position based in our NH office.
Responsibilities
The Tree Care Industry Association, Inc. seeks a Web Master-Developer to join our marketing team. The webmaster will be an integral part of the association for implementation of our strategic goals as well as improvement and refinement of our websites. - Manage the look and feel, day-to-day maintenance, and branding of web content - Manage navigation and usability of website to optimize customer experience - Communicate with staff to ensure that site is up to date, and develop interdepartmental workflows to empower staff to self manage - Manage and implement web update/change ticket items from staff - Work closely with IT director, database administrator and software vendors to ensure interoperability and efficiency of website with database - Manage day to day operations and program rollouts, maintenance and overall quality control for website - Optimize TCIA websites for SEO/SEM and conversions - Track and report web usage and suggest appropriate changes and activities to promote web traffic growth and interactivity - Identify and implement improvements to user interface as appropriate to meet TCIA strategic goals
Ideal Candidate
**Educational qualifications:** - Associates degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the development, design and management of websites. - Must possess a strong working knowledge of web development and management methodologies. - BA preferred. **Experience and attributes:** - Strong technical background including knowledge of web development and ecommerce technologies (Drupal 6-7-8, Wordpress, PHP, CSS, .NET, HTML5, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, MySQL/SQL Server, etc.) and experience with website practice and technology - Experience with OOP, MVC, REST, Git, Drush/makefiles through Aegir for deployment - Experience with webinar, forums, rss, e-learning, e-collaboration, interactive design, and cross-platform application integration - Strong ability to manage projects requiring interdepartmental support, communication and collaboration - Strong analytic skills pertaining to marketing and ecommerce, working closely with the marketing department to meet page view and engagement goals - Familiarity with iMIS association management database a plus - Experience working with outside contractors a plus - Ability to work independently with focus on departmental and association goals - Must be a team player - Must be self-motivated - Must be cooperative, supportive and helping of other team members, as a key attribute necessary for success - Must be able to travel for annual exposition and other shows (about 1 week per year)
