Summary
TravelClick is the industry leader in Business Intelligence and Data solutions for the hotel industry, changing how hoteliers are managing their business. We are looking for a Director of Product to lead the expansion of our data offerings into other verticals. This person will have the unique opportunity to build a business from the ground up – product conceptualization, market research, go-to-market strategy, sales, marketing and operations.
Responsibilities
* Drive product strategy – segments for focus, test-and-learn, required development, pricing and value proposition * Drive sales strategy through prospect meetings and owning new deals, in partnership with sales team * Work with key internal partners, including data engineering, operations, product management and technology to identify what data is available, how it can be delivered to customers and how it can be operationalized at scale * Determine and develop go-to-market strategy and messaging, e.g., sales channels, materials and marketing required, global vs. domestic focus, etc. * Ultimate accountability for developing, launching and rapidly scaling a seven figure new product area
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years experience * Bachelors Degree required. MBA preferred * Passionate about building innovative products * Superb communicator, eloquent and compelling in front of customers and employees * Comfort and experience working with and ideally leading data driven products, and/or knowledge of the analytic applications space * A successful history of working across the product lifecycle, including engineering, marketing, field and inside sales, enterprise / corporate sales, account management, and external sales channels. * Highly data driven, with ability to quickly analyze and synthesize information to develop actionable strategic plans and make decisions and tradeoffs optimized to meet business demands and customer needs * Strong relationship skills, including the ability to listen to customers and sales reps, and effectively drive meetings with a diverse cross-functional business and technical audience * A proven track record and a solid conceptual and expert understanding of product development and product management lifecycle. * Experience with SQL a strong plus * Self-directed; needs minimal supervision on work tasks * Excellent organizational and time management skills * A strong business and technical background
