Automation Test Engineer

TST is an online travel shopping and booking software company. We build and grow an innovative private label solution, specifically tailored to online customers, travel agencies, and home-based travel agents.

We are seeking bright, engineering-oriented, enthused, and experienced software engineers focused on automation. Programming aptitude, passion for quality, in-depth automation engineering, and the ability to rapidly learn new technologies, techniques, and domains are a must. Experience with Agile, effective communication skills, and a preference for open source tools are highly desired. You will drive testability and diagnostics building tests that will automate and programmatically test the product to expose API and frontend defects. These tests should be comprehensive in coverage to encompass happy paths, fringe test cases, and negative test cases. In addition, these tests should be robust as you will be called upon to diagnose test failures in a continuous integration environment.

* Develop Cucumber-based Ruby test cases using Watir-Webdriver in a continuous integration and continuous deployment environment * Automate data validation/integrity for Mongo and MySQL databases using Rspec * API/Restful endpoint testing for microservices * Working collaboratively with dynamic teams consisting of Developers, Product Owners, and Manual Testers to groom stories and drive feature development * Work in Agile environment to develop features with daily deployments * Designing and building test tools and systems * Make breakthroughs or relax in the Innovation Lounge

**Requirements** * Applicant must have 3 years full-time professional experience in automation or equivalent. * Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. Unfortunately, we are not currently sponsoring visas. * College degree preferred. Additional years of work experience in automation/software engineering required if no college degree in relevant field such as computer science. **Tools/Technologies** * Ability to program in Ruby (or other OO/scripting languages) * Cucumber, Ruby, Rspec * Watir Webdriver * MySQL, MongoDB * SQL experience required * Page Object pattern * Jenkins * GitHub * Unix and/or Linux; Unix tools and basic Unix scripting languages
