Experienced Bridge Designer - Tampa Job

TranSystems brings innovative consulting, engineering and architectural solutions to solve the nation's transportation infrastructure challenges.

• Manage CADD production staff for conventional and complex bridge projects.
• Work independently in the preparation of detailed drawings, layouts, sketches for conventional concrete, steel bridges, curved steel girder bridges, and concrete segmental bridge structures.
• Coordinate work with both junior staff and senior engineers.
• Direct preparation of submittal documents for design projects.
• Commitment to quality work and timely communication.

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical School Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 15 years of bridge design/plans production experience
• Documented experience of managing CADD production teams or staff
• Documented experience of preparation of detailed drawings, layouts, sketches for multiple bridge types.
• Knowledge of Microstation and Autocad.
• Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering
• Min. of 10 years of experience in managing bridge plans production staff.
• Direct preparation of submittal documents for FDOT bridge projects.
• Documented experience in the preparation of segmental concrete box bridge details.
• Documented experience in the preparation of 3D drawings for concrete diaphragms.
