Production Manager

Translations.com seeks a bright, self-motivated Production Manager to join our “startup within an established company” for our global enterprise clients. Your work will directly impact live websites through language technology projects. As a Production Manager you will manage the production teams and collaborate with internally with sales and client services teams to ensure quality efficient production processes for enterprise level client projects. A strong candidate for this position is a quick learner who can effectively manage a diverse team. You will also have a strong sense of ownership.

* Ensure that all direct reports trained with knowledge to effectively perform all of their required duties * Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports twice a month * Work directly with reports to ensure effective execution of all projects on a micro-level * Generate quotes / approve non-standard budgets for potential projects for Sales team * Work with Quality Assurance department to investigate and close Corrective Actions involving their department * Conduct Performance Review evaluations, mentor/coach the team, set objectives and execute disciplinary actions * Assist with high-level negotiations / preferred pricing agreements with vendors on an ongoing basis, as required * Troubleshoot any and all issues that arise * Work with manager to help generate ideas for improvement on a departmental level * Engage into process improvement * Attend client calls and meetings to help generate business, conduct quality reviews and ensure customer satisfaction, * Ensure the team is aligned with the Business Unit objectives and work with the team in meeting them

As a Production Manager you are a: * Creative thinker – You are curious and unafraid to ask questions * Hard worker – You are industrious and diligent in everything you do * Innovator – You are willing to initiate changes and introduce new ideas * Motivated – You are proactive and will not wait to be told what needs to be done You experience includes: * Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university * Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English * Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projects * Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills * Ability to maintain professionalism, focus and results-orientation in all situations, especially under tight deadlines * Localization experience, in a Global Sr. Project Manager or Program Manager role
