Summary
Tower Hill Insurance Group has an exciting opportunity for a talented Underwriting Analyst who seeks a rewarding career with a company that is experiencing growth. The Underwriting Analyst position is the key individual for analyzing data and reporting within the Personal Lines Underwriting department. This position is responsible for researching and preparing analytical reports as they relate to underwriting. It requires using data to analyze underwriting experience to improve profitability; maintaining and improving the procedures, tools, methods, measurements and output of the Underwriting Department. The Underwriting Analyst will work closely with management, Actuarial team, Business Intelligence team, DBAs and others to insure timely and accurate data.
Responsibilities
* Create, maintain, and prepare Underwriting reports for management. * Perform research and analysis. * Identify trends during the analysis process and forecast impacts. * Create reports to monitor performance with distribution to underwriting management. * Audit data to improve accuracy of reporting. * Assist in writing proposals, concept documents and other business documents. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced work environment. * Excellent organizational & time management and analytical skills. * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have and advanced working knowledge of internet/intranet software as well as SQL and the MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Access. * Insurance designations are desirable.
