Responsibilities

The Job:

  • Reporting directly to the SVP Brand, Product & Communication Marketing, the purpose of the position is to drive our creative process and deliver great content and storytelling across all of our brands globally by leading the internal creative team, while also leveraging outside freelancers and agencies.

  • While ultimately overseeing the creative development of assets ranging from display ads to emails to blogs, video content will be a major focus for this role and this person must be hands on in developing and executing in this area.

  • The most important ability of this role is the ability to take a Brief, and deliver creative concepts and content that work across multiple consumer touch points in the digital and physical world.

The Work:

Champions Brand Positioning through Creative Content

  • Be a key voice in protecting and promoting the relevant brand voice, ensuring consistent tone and theme throughout all external communications

  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on proper usage of the brand voice and strongly enforce adherence to editorial policies

  • Take a strong creative stance on content produced across all channels, always protecting the quality of execution

Execute Digital Video Strategy and Development

  • Support the development of overall digital video content strategy

  • Develop creative briefs and work directly with outside production resources to execute on vision, taking a key role in the production and post-production phases

  • Ensure global coordination of video content efforts to maximize distribution of individual content across regions

  • Partner closely with marketing channel owners, especially Social Media Team, to inform creation of video content and maximize efficiency of distribution

Drive Innovative Content Development

  • Develop a process and manage the resources to engage in more frequent ‘live / real-time’ content development and distribution, especially around individual events

  • Experiment with new forms of content as marketing channels and customer needs develop

  • Use data & metrics to inform changes to content on an ongoing basis in order to maximize marketing & sales performance

Manages Creative Team Workflow and Priorities

  • Develop scalable creative and content development processes in order to serve the needs of a 360 degree multi-channel marketing approach

  • Support team members involved in copywriting, design, photo and video content development, to prioritize based on skills and business needs

  • Hire and manage necessary resources (in-house and outsourced) to deliver on objectives

  • Work with Brand Director to develop content to support editorial strategy and calendar

  • Develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, retrieval and repurposing, including real-time implementation of content strategies

  • Interpret briefs from Brand Team and other internal stakeholders and transform them into content, organizing and leading structured brainstorming sessions where appropriate

  • Retain and manage agency partners (i.e. video production companies) to produce key creative assets

Key Partner to Internal Stakeholders

  • Support the product team to develop on-site branding and creative elements
  • Work with Partnerships team to collaborate on partner-driven content, maximizing value for partner while ensuring tight adherence to Brand Guidelines and Editorial Policy
  • Work with Merchandise and Consumer Products Licensing team to support with creative content and design

Deliverables

  • Responsible for the Content Editorial Policy – developing, maintaining and enforcing
  • Responsible for overall content calendar
  • Responsible for developing and managing asset management platforms and processes
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to overall content budget
  • Hire key open roles

The Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or journalism 6-7 years of relevant content marketing experience, including video content development
