Summary
Toast is looking for self-motivated individuals who want to be part of a team that is transforming the way restaurants operate. You will be involved in working with Toast’s restaurant customers to set up the Toast system, train restaurant staff, build a relationship with our customers, and ensure they are successful. We are looking for candidates that like mobile technology, have experience in the restaurant industry, can communicate effectively, and are creative problem solvers. Responsibilities
* Design and install wired / WiFi networks for customer locations * Test / troubleshoot unknown managed networks * Terminate and run Ethernet cables if needed * Learn the Toast POS system and become a product expert * Install / configure Toast hardware including tablets, printers and other peripherals * Conduct site surveys to plan new customer installations * Run staff training sessions with front of house, back of house and restaurant management * Maintain and document implementation plans and network diagrams * Provide on-site support to Toast client locations if needed
Ideal Candidate
* Networking Degree or Certification * 0-2 years of practical wired / WiFi networking and troubleshooting experience * Knowledge of network design and deployment including protocols supporting LANs and WANs * Excellent communication skills * Ability to problem solve / troubleshoot in a timely manner * Adaptability and strong work ethic * Demonstrates attention to detail and strong organization skills * Experience with Cisco/Meraki devices is preferred but not required * Restaurant experience is preferred but not required * This role will require 75-100% travel within the US.
