Field Implementation Engineer

You will be involved in working with Toast’s restaurant customers to set up the Toast system, train restaurant staff, build a relationship with our customers, and ensure they are successful. * Design and install wired / WiFi networks for customer locations * Test / troubleshoot unknown managed networks * Terminate and run Ethernet cables if needed * Learn the Toast POS system and become a product expert * Install / configure Toast hardware including tablets, printers and other peripherals * Conduct site surveys to plan new customer installations * Run staff training sessions with front of house, back of house and restaurant management * Maintain and document implementation plans and network diagrams * Provide on-site support to Toast client locations if needed

* Networking Degree or Certification * 0-2 years of practical wired / WiFi networking and troubleshooting experience * Knowledge of network design and deployment including protocols supporting LANs and WANs * Excellent communication skills * Ability to problem solve / troubleshoot in a timely manner * Adaptability and strong work ethic * Demonstrates attention to detail and strong organization skills * Experience with Cisco/Meraki devices is preferred but not required * Restaurant experience is preferred but not required * This role will require 75-100% travel within the US.
