Summary
Are you an experienced Project Manager who enjoys working with upper management to deliver projects on time, on budget, and on target in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment? Do you have strong hands-on SDLC project management experience? Are you accustomed to making multiple large projects, simultaneously, through all phases of the project life cycle? If so, this may be just the opportunity for you! TM Floyd & Company is hiring a Sr. Project Manager in Columbia, SC, who has managed technical projects through the entire life cycle. He/she will be responsible for all project management activities in a matrixed environment utilizing Waterfall/PMBOK-based methodology. The Sr. Project Manager will also be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
* Developing and monitoring project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from scope to post implantation * Monitoring resource requirements based on project specifications and ensuring resources are assigned to meet project objectives * Scheduling, facilitating, and recapping project team meetings * Authoring project documentation, including scope document, design document, and implementation document * Facilitating the WBS process and translating WBS into an MS Project schedule * Keeping the project schedule updated and managing a change control process to reflect changes in requirements, deliverables, dates, or budget * Facilitating the identification of project risks and issues * Escalating project issues and communications of project statuses to all levels of management * Identifying items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources * Ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes, utilizing project methodology standards
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 7 years of experience with SDLC project management * Experience working in a matrixed environment * Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project * PMP certification highly desired * Knowledge in SharePoint preferred * Significant knowledge of PMI based methodologies * Waterfall experience required
