Sr Agile Business System Analyst Job

The Sr Agile Business System Analyst role is execution focused, and will be responsible for shaping and defining solutions for a highly complex, business intelligence and analytics platform. The features delivered on this highly visible platform will support the objectives established by our Media organization as they seek to reshape the way the industry views audience measurement and video viewership across all media platforms and devices. Agile principles are being applied to increase the speed at which the team delivers these new features to market. The Agile BA will participate in the evolution of this agile delivery methodology for the Media BI team. In addition to evolving our processes, new big data and dashboard visualization technologies are being introduced to ensure the platform can evolve and scale along with the business needs.

* Capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with regard to introducing agile principles, new technology, and cultural change. * Collaborate with business product owner on the vision and roadmap for the platform. * Ability to take abstract business requests and apply data analysis techniques to recommend possible solutions. * Leads and facilitate the requirements gathering process with business and technical teams. * Responsible for the authoring of process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other requirements documentation. * Proactively identifies and manages dependencies on other teams/systems. * Ability to guide the planning and sizing/estimation process for features and stories. * Performs root cause analysis on defects and other issues, then recommends solutions to resolve recurring issues. * Guides/coaches the team (and others) on the agile methodology, practices, and concepts. * Ability to collaborate and partner with contractors/vendors.

* Minimum 6 years of previous experience in a Business Analyst role for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions. * 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience required. * Experience with IT SDLC processes. * Exceptional written and oral communication skills. * Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. * Ability to learn and demonstrate team leadership qualities. **Preferred Qualifications** * Work experience of Agile software development methodologies, and practices. * Product Owner or other agile certifications. * Experience with Rally or JIRA is a plus. * Cable/Telecommunications industry knowledge/experience. * Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing knowledge/experience. * Experience with BI tools and technologies such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Netezza, Teradata, etc. * Experience designing dashboards for an audience that ranges from analysts to C-level executives. **Education and Experience:** * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
