Launching out of Y-Combinator in 2012, Tilt is the fastest growing in the crowdfunding space. We’re launching more crowdfunding campaigns per day than any other platform in the world by focusing on what this space will look like in a mobile world. Tilt has raised funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Y-Combinator, and many of the smartest angel investors in the world.
Responsibilities
- We're looking for a well-rounded backend developer to help make our product the best it can be. We value ambitious developers that are eager to move quickly and GetS**tDone™. You will work along side our talented API team to tackle new features, create new payment solutions, scale and document our API, and make the entire Tilt platform as easy to use as possible. - We believe that speed is survival and are incredibly passionate about what we do. We question the status quo and learn from each other every day. - Play a critical part in designing the architecture, code, testing, and deploy process for new features and for improving existing ones. - Introduce new tools, plugins and frameworks to our ecosystem to help increase development speed. - Regularly perform critical analysis and code reviews of your peers’ code, and you will proactively tackle problems and issues as they arise.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent grasp of RESTful API design. - Well-versed in testing your code (unit tests, systems tests, etc.) and continuous integration. - Very comfortable with the Git branching and merging model. - At home in a Linux environment. - Relational database experience (raw queries and ORMs). - API Design and implementation experience. - Experience with payment systems and payments APIs. - PostgreSQL experience. - Presence in the open source community. - Perl and/or Dancer experience (or similar language, such as Go, Python, Ruby).
