Account Executive

Launching out of Y-Combinator in 2012, Tilt is the fastest growing in the crowdfunding space. We’re launching more crowdfunding campaigns per day than any other platform in the world by focusing on what this space will look like in a mobile world. Tilt has raised funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Y-Combinator, and many of the smartest angel investors in the world.

We are building a social referral system where a local business can sell to their online community and and enable that community to share amazing things to do, see, eat and buy in their neighborhoods. As an account executive, your primary responsibility will be to source and close deals with local merchants who have never worked with Tilt before.

* Develop new business opportunities by cold calling and/or visiting a list of merchants to expand the range of offers to our user base * Be responsible for achieving daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact * Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers * Utilize knowledge of deal structure and strategy in order to reach merchants’ desired outcomes and maximize profit

* 1+ years of proven success in a sales environment * Experience selling over the phone, door-to-door and cold calling various types of businesses, local merchants a plus * Demonstrate high degrees of diligence and accountability, with evidence of personal results * Strong understanding of how to seed and build communities online (via facebook, instagram, etc) * Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition * Strong negotiation and consultation skills * Captive learner, excited about the opportunity to develop consultative sales skills
