Senior Cost Accountant

Tile has invented a simple and sleek location tracking app that can be used to track any item users don’t want to misplace. Users can place small, affordable Tiles on wallets, purses, computers, luggage, etc., allowing them to communicate within the world’s largest lost and found network.

Tile is looking for a Senior Cost accounting to join our energetic, efficient and fast growing Finance & Accounting team.

* Responsible for day-to-day cost accounting operations which include: * Standard costs / bom updates * Variance and margin analyses * Inventory reconciliations * Rolling standard costs * Calculating monthly reserves * Calculate new product cost standards in coordination with Operations * Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies weekly * Perform month-end closing procedures for inventory and cost of goods sold * Provide regular updates to mgmt team * Monitor and report opportunities for increased efficiencies and cost savings opportunities * Implement PO process for non inventory related purchases; working closely with department heads * Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions (including expense reports, PO invoices, non-PO invoices, etc.) * Provide support to accounting activities (ex: month-end close, year-end close, external audit review, etc.)

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required * 5+ years in accounting experience, including 4+ with hands-on detailed Cost Accounting responsibilities * Experience with NetSuite * Excellent communications (verbal and written) * Detail oriented with strong ability to analyze and solve problems * Dedicated self-starter, organized and ability to multi-task * Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at once
