Purchasing Assistant

Tiffany & Co. operates jewelry and specialty retail stores and manufactures products through its subsidiary corporations. Its principal subsidiary is Tiffany and Company.

The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for the procurement of MRO and Office Supply’s. This position is also responsible for the processing of all subcontracting purchase orders to the outside supplier base as well as the JDE data integrity around all open purchase orders.

* Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your manager. * Execute all MRO purchases for Pelham and the TWS, including tool suppliers, manual purchase orders and negotiations. Provide purchasing information to manufacturing as well as pricing and quantities. Maintain an updated pricing list. * Conduct location audit as scheduled of all products tracked to the supplier’s locations and reconcile any discrepancies. Perform commit report and follow up with appropriate team members. * Reconcile all open purchase orders monthly to maintain data integrity in JDE and action those purchase orders to closure on items that have been received fully or short shipped and still show open in JDE. * Execute the processing of metal samples from outside suppliers to the Tiffany sample lab in NJ as per QA requirements. * Assist in all areas within and outside of Purchasing and Planning when requested.

* Minimum AA preferred or 2+ years experience in a fast paced administrative environment. * Good communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to read and understand safety manuals, security procedures and employment policies * Basic knowledge of Microsoft office * Type 40 WPM * Organized and detail oriented * Intermediate mathematical skills required **Preferred Qualifications** * Overtime as needed
