Summary
The Art Director is responsible for the art direction and design of print advertising, public relations, catalogue and collateral projects, executing creative solutions that deliver on strategy and align with global advertising campaigns and initiatives. This individual will also help lead internally generated initiative-related creative content from conception through completion by partnering with creative leaders, cross-departmental creative partners, copy team, brand management, and production team.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include both the generation of new concepts for internally developed campaigns and initiatives, and the adaptation and support of agency-directed campaigns. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for leading their team in the concepting, design and execution of initiative-related public relations, catalogue and collateral projects. The Art Director will manage advertising creative staff to effectively meet workload and maintain standards of excellence in creative and production, and foster ongoing communication with the cross functional creative group (Digital, PR, CVM) and other groups within Tiffany & Co. to ensure singular creative voice. This individual will manage projects from concept to completion by working closely with brand management team, production team and overseeing advertising creative staff, and will manage creative schedules for all projects. Additionally, this individual will manage creative and graphic standards with outside agencies.
Ideal Candidate
* BA in graphic design * 8+ years previous experience * Excellent typography skills * High taste level and standards * Detail oriented and organized * Strong time management skills * Able to balance multiple projects and shifting priorities * Manage schedules and staff * Photo art direction experience * Computer skills (indesign, photoshop, adobe illustrator) * Technical skills * Luxury industry experience * Fashion experience a plus * Editorial experience a plus
