Social Media Specialist

Thumbtack is a local services marketplace that connects customers who need to get things done with local, skilled professionals who can help. From plumbers and painters to DJs and personal trainers, Thumbtack helps millions of customers find the right professional for their project in over 1,000 categories.

As our Social Media Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing our social presence across strategic channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. You’ll own the social media calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling brand content across all channels, collaborating with copy, design, photography, video, and content marketing. You’ll also schedule and promote posts, report on social metrics, and formulate recommendations to drive brand awareness and consideration for Thumbtack. Finally, you’ll partner closely with our social support team to drive engagement with our audiences.

* Passionate about building a great brand * 2-4 years experience managing branded social media marketing * Intimate knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instragram and Pinterest, both at the strategic and operational levels * Excellent collaboration and project management skills * Informed on latest social media technologies and trends * Trained and comfortable with social media tools (analytics, scheduling…)
