Thumbtack is a local services marketplace that connects customers who need to get things done with local, skilled professionals who can help. From plumbers and painters to DJs and personal trainers, Thumbtack helps millions of customers find the right professional for their project in over 1,000 categories.

We’re growing fast and as we expand, it’s important that we focus on communicating clearly, authentically, and frequently with our existing customers and professionals. Our email copywriter is going to be essential in building and maintaining those important relationships and inspiring habitual user engagement.

• Be a champion for the brand and an advocate for our customers and professionals.
• Improve our email content by auditing, strategizing, and writing copy that resonates with our individual audiences.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure emails are efficiently executed and aligned with business goals.

Must-Have Qualifications

• B.A. in Advertising, Marketing, Writing, or similar
• 2-5 years experience writing great copy for consumer-facing brands
• Highly creative problem solving skills
• Ability to collaborate across different teams and departments: marketing, design, product, category management, etc.
• A portfolio of action-oriented email copy or 2-3 unique writing samples

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Eye for good layout and content design
• Strong knowledge of brand tactics and trends within the tech industry
• Hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
