Summary
Our goal is to keep pros using Thumbtack. As Pro Marketing Associate, you will develop and manage communications with our pros throughout their time using Thumbtack so they keep quoting, getting hired, and loving Thumback. You'll create strong messaging and content, develop emails, and leverage other marketing channels (web, social, direct mail, tradeshows, etc.) to make the Thumbtack experience more delightful for our pros. You’ll complement product efforts to ensure that our new pros have a great onboarding experience and get their first hire. You’ll keep pros engaged through timely and helpful content, loyalty programs, and other initiatives. You will be a key voice of our pros into the company, sharing success stories as well as helping the Thumbtack team gain empathy for challenges our pros face.
Responsibilities
* Develop email programs and campaigns across marketing channels targeting new, active, and at-risk pros to increase bidding, hire rate and retention * Develop content calendar and key messages for pros at various stages of their lifecycle * Rapidly test and learn what marketing tactics improve behavior, and quickly scale up or pivot to the next test * Develop key programs to drive active use - loyalty program, communities, etc. * Manage and track impact of campaigns * Lead pro research to define pro personas, understand challenges with experience, etc.
Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years of experience in a marketing or strategy consulting role * Experience developing and launching a program to influence customer behavior * Strong analytical skill set, including extensive hands on experience in Excel * Ability to work cross functionally with product, design, analytics, and marketing teams * Excellent written and verbal communications skills **About you** - You are a passionate strategist or marketer and strong analyst who is excited to launch pro-facing programs that drive higher engagement - You love getting to know your customers, developing deep empathy for their experience using the product, and understanding their needs at different phases of their lifecycle - You have a data-driven, analytical approach to problem solving and approach new projects with creativity and rigor You have a test and learn mentality and like driving work (vs. hiring agencies to execute) - You have experience managing a cross functional team to launch new programs, managing a project plan and timeline - You are resourceful and do what it takes to get alignment and resources
