Junior Copywriter - Contractor

From plumbers and painters to DJs and personal trainers, Thumbtack helps millions of customers find the right professional for their project in over 1,000 categories.

Part of building a great brand is communicating with people genuinely and authentically—on social media, in emails, and on the web. To do that, we need a passionate, empathetic writer with a knack for voice and tone and a familiarity with best practices across all kinds of messaging mediums.

* Maintain high brand standards across company messaging by being a knowledgeable protector and advocate of Thumbtack's voice and tone. * Improve our social media content by auditing, strategizing, and writing copy that resonates with our friends, followers, and networks. * Elevate marketing strategies and campaigns by providing thoughtful, compelling content that inspires customers to take action.

**Must-Have Qualifications** * B.A. in Advertising, Marketing, Writing, or similar * 1-3 years experience writing great copy for consumer-facing brands * Highly creative problem solving skills * Ability to collaborate across different teams and departments: marketing, design, product, category management, etc. * A diverse portfolio of action-oriented copywriting for the web or 2-3 unique writing samples **Nice-to-Have Qualifications** * Eye for good layout and content design * Strong knowledge of social media tactics and trends * Hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
