Summary
This summer, our team is bringing on an intern to play a key role in evaluating and revamping our SEO and content marketing strategy. Over the course of the summer, you’ll work closely with the customer marketing, growth engineering, and content writing teams to research and craft a strategy for improving our current SEO pages and creating new ones. This paid internship will be a full-time commitment (40 hours a week) for the 12-week duration. Start and end dates are flexible.
Responsibilities
* **Learn**. Get a lay of the land for Thumbtack’s wide array of SEO pages and best practices. Submerse yourself in where SEO strategy is headed and what it means for Thumbtack. * **Analyze**. Conduct an industry analysis of SEO pages and gather examples of different types, approaches, and designs. * **Research**. Draft surveys and conduct interviews with current and prospective Thumbtack customers on content they might find engaging. * **Recommend**. Synthesize your learnings and make recommendations for next steps. Present your work to various teams within Thumbtack. * **Create**. Over the course of the entire project, participate in brainstorms and share your own ideas for content, web pages, strategies, etc.
Ideal Candidate
**Must-Have Qualifications** * Experience with marketing programs, digital marketing, or SEO through either on-campus activities or previous internship/work experience * Ability to synthesize a large volume of online research * Experience creating and sharing presentations * Interest in SEO and/or Content Marketing **Nice-to-Have Qualifications** * Knowledge of general SEO best practices * Previous internship experience on a marketing team or at a tech company * Experience with writing/blogging for an online publication, magazine, or newspaper. * Experience writing surveys or conducting interviews for customer/user research * Able to start in mid-May
