Interaction Designer
Threat Stack
(Boston, Massachusetts)Threat Stack is purpose-built to support organizations running in the cloud and the unique requirements of a cloud-based or hybrid infrastructure. In order to protect your sensitive data, you need to know who is doing what, where, and when – at all times.
We are looking for an Interaction Designer to join our Product Development team and shape the experience of using our web-based products. Working alongside our Senior UX Designer, you’ll be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and our users themselves – designing beautiful, easy-to-use solutions for problems as large as “better user onboarding” and as tiny as the text-shadow on a button.

- Deliver across the full product development lifecycle, from sketches and wireframes to prototypes that can be handed off to a UI Engineer
- Co-own and develop our expanding library of UI patterns
- Participate in UX research and iterate designs based on user feedback
- Validate requirements and designs with Product Management and Engineering throughout development
- Construct creative ways to visualize complex data structures and relationships, to create simple but powerful interactions for our technical users
- Top-flight UI design skills
- Experience designing data-rich web applications, accounting for both beginner and advanced users
- High level of understanding of user experience as a whole – workflows, mental models, designing for emotion
- Ability to translate designs into working HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience using web-based animation in interaction design
- Experience using Sketch app for UI design (or willingness to learn it quickly)
- Interdisciplinary, open-minded, and collaborative approach to problem-solving
