Summary
Line Producer will manage all production aspects of multiple long form shows. These aspects include production, budgeting, scheduling, and legal compliance. Overall, implement processes and systems to create a more efficient workflow and team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production and editorial crew, including invoicing, contracts, and schedule. Track all productions to insure they are on budget and on schedule - Process and approve all expenses-vendor relations and payments - and liaison with accounting to make sure they can track all expenses as well. Also, liaison with legal and HR to create and negotiate contracts for talent, staff, and experts - Mange and track all budgets for all the OP shows in development and production. Report hot costs on a weekly basis - Book crews and oversee production schedules set-up by the show producers - Make sure we have all footage and on-camera releases as well as all other required legal documents before we wrap each show - Work with the Tax accounting team to make sure they have all the information they require for the Georgia State tax credit - Be available during off-hours to support production crews if an emergency situation arises
Ideal Candidate
**Education, Experience, Certification Requirements** * At least six years television experience, with a minimum of 3 years as Producer of live news programming in a major television market * Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Ability to produce live news programs that contain live remote elements from a control room * Knowledge of television production techniques including newsroom, studio, line, and field production methods and equipment * Editorially mature with solid news judgment and the ability to create in-depth, visually exciting programs or weather news programs * Proven writing ability, a vision for graphics, and a passion for memorable, creative content * Ability to use all production tools available to produce original content and enhance storytelling * A strong leader in the control room with the ability to handle breaking news/weather situations * Ability to adapt to different show styles or concepts as needed * Outstanding leadership and communication skills, plus the ability to work well with others in stressful situations * Knowledge of digital editing systems
