Summary
The Broadcast Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation of system wiring, equipment installation, documentation and maintenance of Engineering's installation standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Install and work with other installation engineers in the proper execution of broadcast system integrations - Work with project design engineers and the Integration Supervisor to understand the project scope, design, and timeline of projects - Assist Engineering teams to ensure installations meet engineering standards - Install cable to ensure proper management and termination techniques - Confirm system and equipment documentation is correct on as-built drawings - Install cable to ensure proper management and termination techniques - Create and maintain documentation
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electronics Technical Training, or equivalent * Minimum 5 years related experience installing television equipment and broadcast systems including analog and digital video and audio systems **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Ability to accommodate unique needs and issues of a 24-hour operation with critical deadlines * Ability to pay attention to the details * Computer and software experience, including CAD systems, word processing, databases, and spreadsheets * Excellent Written/Verbal communication skills * Familiar with standard broadcast engineering methods and practices a must * Good people skills with the ability to work well with teams and individuals * Self-driven to accomplish goals and meet deadlines * Ability to install broadcast video, audio, RF, computer networking, control systems

Working Conditions

The Weather Channel operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hours worked by The Weather Channel associates will vary according to job responsibility and scheduling demands of each department.
