Associate Producer

ABC News is hiring a Digital Associate Producer who will work across Digital and Broadcast to create content for GoodMorningAmerica.com. This person will turn scripts from GMA into digital articles and collaborate with the GMA producers to generate digital stories and complementary content related to upcoming broadcast segments.

* Turn broadcast scripts from GMA into Digital articles. * Liaise with broadcast and digital teams about daily coverage plans and reporter assignments. * Collaborate with GMA broadcast producers on pieces on stories and to generate complementary or more extensive digital content related to upcoming segments. * Write original day of stories and generate ideas for long term stories for ABC News platforms and GoodMorningAmerica.com. * Coordinate across multiple departments in the organization, including digital video team to write video headlines for GMA show segments, the social media team, the legal and standards departments, photo, and more. * Assist in programming of GoodMorningAmerica.com. * The schedule for this role is as follows: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm

* Minimum one(1) year of professional writing experience * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment turning multiple stories per day * Experience with web CMS and social media Willingness to work * Willingness to work a flexible schedule **Preferred Qualifications** * Three(3) or more years of professional experience writing for a digital media outlet * Keen interest in Lifestyle topics. * Interest in new technology and new storytelling platforms **Required Education** * BA or BS from a 4 year accredited college or university
