General Manager for Fufillment Center Operations

This is a unique opportunity to join our organization at the executive level and own the end to end operation. You’ll manage a cross-functional operational teams including Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Loss Prevention, Human Resources and 3PL functions to support on-time fulfillment. As a dynamic leader you know that developing people and processes are not mutually exclusive. You are a data-driven leader who is both tactical and strategic, who can anticipate roadblocks that happen daily but also far into the future and create mitigation strategies to ensure the fulfillment center continue to increase its capability, foster a culture of relationship before task, and lead a productive, positive, and motivated workforce.

* Drive the transition of the current operation from a third-party provider in-house and scale the entire operation to meet the productivity goals and customer demands. * Focus on continuous improvement to ensure all practices, methods and processes can scale to accommodate aggressive growth. Recommend and gain buy-in on improvement opportunities to achieve goals, standards, budgets, and KPIs. Lead the management team, directly and indirectly, in searching for improvement opportunities. Stay up-to-date on technology and trends affecting fulfillment * Set parameters, develop goals, allocate resources, and establish effective controls to achieve standards, budgets and KPIs. Develop strategies to prepare for business challenges, as well as changing business trends. Frequently compare trends with forecast to determine variances. Review plans and strategies regularly to ensure changes in forecast and trends are properly anticipated and prepared for. * Actively develop talent. Evaluate talent, provide performance feedback, allocate time and resources, and foster development opportunities to support the organizational planning process. Ensure performance successes are appropriately shared and celebrated. Ensure performance deficiencies are appropriately addressed. Define the people requirements needed to achieve goals, standards, budgets, and KPIs. Protect the human and capital assets of the organization. Develops and supports practices that enhance associate morale and maintain positive labor relations. * Build effective relationships with business partners, i.e. Transportation, Planning, Merchants, in order to anticipate business challenges and trends. Actively participate in the growth strategy of e-Commerce operations across TJX Companies, offering insights into fulfillment operations to senior leadership and providing solutions and innovative ideas that contribute to growth.

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience * 8-10 years managing salaried associates with 5+ years in a high-paced operational role with proven management experience * 2-5 years eComm Operations and/or Fulfillment Center experience and/or “like” experience * Experience including but not limited to fulfillment center, distribution center, supply chain management, omni-channel operation * Experience working in customer centric businesses driving customer satisfaction through on-time fulfillment * Master’s degree, preferred * Experience with Manhattan software, preferred
