Lead Scientist - Rheology

The Lead Scientist is responsible for managing project deliverables to contribute to achieving short and long term departmental and company objectives. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Product Development, and Sales to carry out product design and development work leading to products that deliver on market and customer needs.

* The Lead Scientist bridges science and business to uncover and develop new testing capabilities, new applications, and new markets to fuel the continued growth of the rheology department. * The Lead Scientist in this role will work with business and collaboration partners in academia and industry to discover new testing needs, assess market potential and price point, and provide dynamic technical leadership to innovations from inception through commercialization. They will initiates and manage research projects supporting the development of proprietary solutions resulting in new products, platform technologies and productivity. * he successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (physics, engineering, or chemistry) or equivalent combination of education and experience required with at least 10 years relevant work experience in related field. The candidate will have a minimum five years outreach and activity in the academic and research circles of rheology along with an in-depth technical knowledge of applied and theoretical rheology. This position requires on average 50% overnight domestic and international travel.
